3. Antwerp day tour
Antwerp is the perfect incarnation of the Belgian culture and beauty. Our walking day tour will allow you to take in its unique and dazzling atmosphere surround by world-famous monuments that make this city a must-see when you are in Belgium.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet our English-speaking guide who will meet you at the lobby and escort you to our private vehicle (incl. driver) for a transfer to Antwerp. Thanks to its late 19th century eclectic style, Antwerp has a unique atmosphere. First, you will march towards the famous ‘Diamond’ district. For centuries, Antwerp has been synonymous with diamonds and a roaring international trade scene.
After lunch, we will continue our walk over to the Keyserlei and the Meir. During this walk, you also pass some landmarks put on the international fashion map by the famous Antwerp Six. Then, you will visit “Our Lady Cathedral”. This magnificent gothic church has great pieces of art by multiple world-famous artists like Rubens and other Flemish masters. Almost next to this cathedral you will find the main square, the old market place, The Brabo fountain, and the Renaissance city hall. You will finish the guided tour with a stroll through the medieval quarter full of narrow streets and blind alleys (Vlaeykensgang) followed by a unique visit of Antwerp’s secret underground waterways. .
