4. Ghent day tour
Ghent is definitely a must-see in Belgium. Whether just for a day trip or a weekend stay, you will certainly enjoy your stay in Ghent with our day tour(s). It offers what the other Belgian "superstar" cities offer (like Brussels and Bruges), in addition to a chill and relaxed atmosphere away from the masses of tourists. In Ghent, you will enjoy your trip at your own pace surrounded by welcoming people who enjoy life.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet our English-speaking guide who will meet you at the lobby and escort you to our private vehicle (incl. driver) for a transfer to Ghent.
With our guide, you will get to explore this medieval town and walk along its iconic buildings, such as the Castle of Gerald the Devil, Saint Bavo Cathedral, The Belfort (Bell Tower and the peculiar Gothic and Renaissance-style Town Hall). We are also going to taste some ‘real’ Belgium fries coupled with some authentic Belgium mayonnaise.
Then, when you think you have seen it all, Gent just keeps surprising. After Lunch, we continue with the port of Raslei, the majestic Castle of the Counts of Flanders, Patershol neighborhood, the Great Butchers’Hall, and the old Fish Market. This will be followed by some leisure time for the guests the discovery of the city center.
